My Philosophy
Barre City Kids is a registered home child care program owned and operated by Jacky Davis. I hold three STARS through Vermont's quality recognition system for child care programs. I am also at level VA on the Early Childhood Career Ladder through Northern Lights. I provide a nurturing and stimulating family-like environment for your child. Children learn best through play, and therefore much of our days will center around child-guided free-play. Our toys and equipment have been carefully chosen to promote optimal growth and development for your child. While at Barre City Kids, your child will learn cognitive skills such as the alphabet, counting, colors, shapes, and more. We also put an emphasis on learning respect for and helping one another.

In addition to child-led activities, we also engage in some adult-led activities such as arts & crafts, story time, gardening, and cooking/baking.

Your child will receive two healthy meals and one healthy snack each day. Whenever possible, children are encouraged to help with meal preparation and serving food to others.
